Luke Peters grew up on a farm in the state of Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa and graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in political science with an emphasis on comparative politics and electoral systems, and minors in business and religious studies. After college he resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he attended the University of Minnesota Law School and received a J.D. cum laude with a concentration in environmental and energy law in 2013. Following a public service fellowship in New York he returned to Minneapolis, where he worked in insurance defense and litigated a number of fraud-related cases, including several in the Minnesota Court of Appeals. He relocated to Northern California in 2020 and was an associate with the East Bay firm of Martin & Vanegas before joining Yaron & Associates in June of 2022.

Luke is admitted to practice before all state courts in California and Minnesota, as well as the federal Northern District of California, Eastern District of California, and the District of New Mexico. He is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association.

Luke resides in the East Bay with his wife and daughter. His hobbies and interests include cycling, hiking, chess and Iowa Hawkeyes football.
