David Gray Douglas is a native Northern Californian who graduated from Carleton College, in Northfield, Minnesota, in 1989. David attended the Tulane School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he tutored Constitutional Law to “at-risk” law students, was an Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, in which he was published on three occasions, and won membership award writing competitions on the Tulane Environmental Law Journal, the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, and the Tulane International and Comparative Law Journal. David graduated with honors in 1993 and was admitted to the California bar in December, 1993.

Following law school, David returned home to Marin County to practice law. David began his career with the San Rafael firm of Johns & Helmueller, where he obtained extensive coverage and coverage litigation experience over the next six years. David also became active in the governance of the State Bar, becoming the Director of District 4 (Marin and San Francisco Counties), for the California Young Lawyers’ Association during the mid-1990s.

After a short period at the San Francisco-based firm of Celebrezze & Wesley, David joined Yaron & Associates in August of 2000, where he specializes in insurance coverage. He is admitted to practice before all the federal and state courts in California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the defense Research Institute (DRI), and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM). David became a partner at Yaron & Associates in July 2002.

David’s hobbies and interests include bonsai, baseball, and Arsenal.
